Here is a presentation I put together for the Western District Conference Foreign Missions Service. The theme for this year (08'-09') is entitled "Eternal Investments". It was alot of fun to make and it was cool to see everybody again on Tuesday night. Really good crowd.

I like it Tyler. You a Windows guy or Mac guy? Whatever you used, it couldn't have been Windows Movie Maker...looping backgrounds were slick. Good job on that! It just made the guy's job (who took the mic afterward) a whole lot easier!
James,
Thanks. PC guy. I wish I could done all of my ideas on it. Unfortunetly, right when I was almost finished, I lost the whole project and had to restart it. When I look back at it, I see how I could have changed some things up, but its a wacky story why couldnt. In short, my computer would freeze up anytime I tried to do anything cool effect-wise on it. I finally just went out and bought a new one. No it wasnt Windows Movie Maker, although that is a great starting program for people to use. I am really into anything Adobe. I used Premiere for this Project. What are you into?
I liked it especially the start. You must get a mac if you are going to do that often though, or at least confess your sins before God every time you use a PC. lol
It was great man!
Wow, Tyler! I'm very impresed! That was awesome! And I was going to ask the same question too, what kind of program you used. Very cool! I'd like to try that out...
By the way, I know you said you're a PC guy, but that's one of the best features about a mac. They NEVER freeze up on you! Isn't that cool? I use lots of media for music stuff, and the huge memory, downloads, files, all that stuff works beautifully on Macs. Maybe you should return what you just bought?
Just a thought..... =)
Jerus,
Thanks bro. Good hearing from you. How are things down South? I will agree with you that a mac does have a better system for graphic design, but I think I will always be a PC guy.....Just what I learned on.
Janell,
LOL....man I think I am going to have to maybe start liking Macs a little but better. Thanks about the clip. I am in love with the Dell I just got though and it probably would take alot of convincing to get me to give it up. I have thought about getting a Mac as well just to be able to have both and use both. I have used them a little in the past with graphics, but never really with any sound equipment. I know back in Nashville they use Macs for PRO-TOOLS and other programs, so maybe I need to take a closer look. We'll see. The way this post is going, I may be converted by tomorow...lol
Tyler, the presentation was great on Tuesday Night. You did a super job! Keep up the good work!
Excellent presentation, as always, Tyler. You have a great talent when it comes to stuff like that. Hope to see it presented soon at church?! Nice job
P.S. Watch those tires :)
Sis. Hurst,
Thanks alot. I wish I could have talked to you guys a little longer though.
Mariah,
Thanks hehe...you watch your tires as well. Watch them deflate.
Tyler I converted to the First Church of Mac earlier this year and will never go back. I was one of those who scrutinized the Mac-ites (the weirdo Star Trek-type Macaholics). It seriously is the best machine. I was going to run my Windows programs with a parallel, but I have no need. All my word processing, spreadsheets - and yes, video/music are all on the MacBook Pro I bought. I eventually want to buy ProTools, but GarageBand, the program that comes with the Mac, is working fine for my amateur ways.
I strongly encourage you to look into a Mac. Best purchase you will have made! (2 Apostolics work at the Arden Fair store...Steve and Mike...ask for them!)
...and all that to say, I LOVED the presentation and had to actually ask what program you used. Normally it's obvious. Great job!
James.....lol thanks
I've got to say that you did a great job on the preso. Not your typical UPC preso that looks like a first draft. ;) My wife commented on how nice it looked before she knew you had prepared it.
Dust....
Bout time you showed up. Sorry I missed your moving day. Hope you got in and everything went well. Wouldve been down but we have a been thing goin on for Memorial Weekend up here.
I use a MacBook Pro Daily, I run Fusion with windows XP and OSX. Believe it or not, we do most of our graphics in XP on MacBooks and we do invoices and customer tracking in OSX! Kind of backwards. I don't think I've turned my mac of more than 20 times since I've bought it, just open it up and start working.
Once you go MAC you never go back!
